Gallery Entrance

An art gallery with a knowledgeable and interesting curator is always a delight to the guest.

On my visit to @theadelinegallery (TAG), I had simply thought to quickly hop in and hop out but wound up having close to an hour’s conversation with the curator, a very wonderful lady with much pride in her work.

As inside any art gallery worth their salt, alluring pieces dotted TAG from one corner to the other but my favourite pieces were China Achebe’s bust and a wooden sculpture from Epe which is about 100 years old. I will definitely return for another visit and recommend as one of the art galleries to visit while in Lagos.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem @cafeboutiquelagos I stumbled upon this hidden gem @cafeboutiquelagos right in the heart of Victoria Island — and trust me, you’ll want to bookmark this spot for your next coffee run or brunch date. The moment I stepped in, I fell head over heels for the Old English, cozy vibe — it’s that perfect blend of stately elegance and homey comfort. The staff? So warm and genuinely attentive.I ordered a caramel café latte — hands down the best latte I’ve had in Lagos. I even had to ask the barista about the coffee beans they used! Plus, the cup was the cutest thing ever, and the generous caramel drizzle was just the cherry on top. I also tried their Croissant Royal Benedict — absolutely delicious, 10/10!One of my favorite touches? Shelves lined with books you can flip through while you sip or eat — the decor truly makes you feel like you’ve escaped to an English manor. So whether you’re after a quiet nook to work, a cozy catch-up spot with friends, or simply a little treat-yourself moment, this café ticks all the boxes. It’s officially on my list of top VI spots. If you’re in the neighborhood, pop in, snag a window seat, and thank me later!#nwaanyiije #cafesinvi #cafesinvictoriaisland #coffeelover #foodpost #café #cafeboutique #boutiquecafe #coffeepost #croissantbenedict
Book Review: “Sapiens” by Yuval Noah Harari Imagi Book Review: “Sapiens” by Yuval Noah HarariImagine a time when humans were just another species, roaming the earth, insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Fast forward 70,000 years, and we are now the most dominant force on the planet. How did we get here?Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens unravels the gripping story of us—from hunter-gatherers to empire builders, from the birth of gods and money to the rise of AI. It’s a journey through the myths we created, the revolutions we ignited, and the future we are shaping. What makes us different from other animals? Stories. We built civilizations on shared beliefs—religion, nations, corporations, even money—powerful fictions that unite millions of strangers. But here’s the real question: If everything we believe in is just a construct, what’s stopping us from rewriting the future?Sapiens is not just history—it’s a mirror reflecting who we are and a window into what we could become. Are you ready to question everything you thought you knew?#Sapiens #YuvalNoahHarari #humanhistory #mindblown #nwaanyiije #bookreview #bookstagram
