Arami Essentials Skincare Review

This indigenous Nigerian brand Arami Essentials @aramiessentials has become everyone’s favourite in such a short time and with very good reason. Founded in 2016, Arami products are made with natural ingredients, handcrafted to keep skin glowing.

Going through the website, I was pleased to see that they also had fragrance-free variants. In their own words:

“We also want you to have a choice, so each beauty essential comes in a fragrance free variant.”  I combed the entire website in search of these fragrance free variants but did not see any.

My first introduction to Arami Essentials was via the “Wander Series” consisting of “Lumi Oil (Sweet Oud)”, “Lumi Butter(Sweet Oud)”, “Glow Scrub” and “Ivory Butter(Mint).

Every single product was a hit that I honestly cannot say which one I liked best. The Ivory Mint Butter is made with really good mint that if you want to smell like a breath of fresh air then you should definitely get this product.

If you want something to take away stress the stress of commuting in Lagos, then hello Glow Scrub! This refreshing scrub makes you feel like an iron tree strengthened after a good rainfall in an African forest.

For your Rich Auntie vibes, look no further than the Lumi Oil and Lumi Butter. We all know Oud smells like greatness. So imagine adding some shimmer to a sweet oud fragrance. Oh la la… everyone will clear road for you- Ms Queen of Sheba.

I absolutely loved the decor of the place and for all my eco-conscious people, you can recycle your used containers and get 15% off your next order. To recycle, either visit the physical location or fill out an online form for free pickup

I definitely would be purchasing more Arami Essentials Skincare and I highly recommend buying these products.

Until next time from your top guide in fine living.

Beauty in the Motherland Exhibition gave exactly w Beauty in the Motherland Exhibition gave exactly what it was supposed to give. This was beyond aesthetics, every vendor was so passionate about their products and about their business. It was so much fun going to discover not just global brands, but also Nigerian indigenous brands. My favorite picks were products from @infused.organics @rengbeautycosmetics and @shoilskin. I also bought the new petal muse glow oil from @aramiessentials. I will definitely be attending again next year and can’t wait to discover more wonderful products.#beautyinthemotherland #beautyinthemotherland2025
I stumbled upon this hidden gem @cafeboutiquelagos I stumbled upon this hidden gem @cafeboutiquelagos right in the heart of Victoria Island — and trust me, you’ll want to bookmark this spot for your next coffee run or brunch date. The moment I stepped in, I fell head over heels for the Old English, cozy vibe — it’s that perfect blend of stately elegance and homey comfort. The staff? So warm and genuinely attentive.I ordered a caramel café latte — hands down the best latte I’ve had in Lagos. I even had to ask the barista about the coffee beans they used! Plus, the cup was the cutest thing ever, and the generous caramel drizzle was just the cherry on top. I also tried their Croissant Royal Benedict — absolutely delicious, 10/10!One of my favorite touches? Shelves lined with books you can flip through while you sip or eat — the decor truly makes you feel like you’ve escaped to an English manor. So whether you’re after a quiet nook to work, a cozy catch-up spot with friends, or simply a little treat-yourself moment, this café ticks all the boxes. It’s officially on my list of top VI spots. If you’re in the neighborhood, pop in, snag a window seat, and thank me later!#nwaanyiije #cafesinvi #cafesinvictoriaisland #coffeelover #foodpost #café #cafeboutique #boutiquecafe #coffeepost #croissantbenedict
Book Review: The Beggar King and the Secret of Hap Book Review: The Beggar King and the Secret of Happiness by Joel Ben IzzyI’d give this book 10 stars if I could. I honestly can’t remember where I first heard about this book but l’m glad I had it in my library for a time like this when I have to look at the past year 2024 gone, with all its attendant challenges and look towards a new year. This book is a deeply moving and beautifully woven tale that blends memoir with profound life lessons. It follows Ben Izzy, a professional storyteller, who suddenly loses his voice after a surgical mishap.Faced with despair and an identity crisis, Ben Izzy embarks on a journey of self-discovery, guided by wisdom from age-old tales and his enigmatic mentor, Lenny. The book challenges readers to rethink their definitions of success and happiness, emphasizing that sometimes, losing what we hold dear can lead to a greater understanding of what truly matters.Thank you Joel Ben Izzy for sharing your gift of storytelling with the world.#bookreview #bookstagram #thebeggarking #joelbenizzy #nwaanyiije #booklover #book #bookrecommendations #books #goodreads
